do they need to be broken in? I don't think mine are going to arrive in time to wear them much before our trip in 2 tweeks-

I didn't find that they had an actual breaking in period....the longer u wear them throughout the day however, the more they mold to ur feet...but they r extremely comfortable from the moment u put them on. We had no issues w/ blisters and such...but again we are used to wearing different types of clogs.

We had the same question and I say no. We got ours a month or so before our trip in case they did need some breaking in. But, they really didn't. They molded to my feet right away and we were good to go!

Being that they are made of resin, do they make your feet sweat terrible? Looking at them made me think they would.

I love to try a pair of Niles. Can anyone tell me if they are as comfortable as the Cayman's

We prefer to wear them with socks, but I have worn them without...and no sweat here. FYI (from website) Think Crocs are made of rubber? Your friend is adamant they're plastic? You're both wrong. Crocs are made of PCCR, a closed-cell material that virtually eliminates odor. No-one will clear a room with smelly feet if they are wearing a pair of Crocs. The material also discourages sweating, making Crocs even more comfortable. :wave2:

I wore a brand new pair of crocs for a full day at EPCOT and had not problems with blisters or sore feet. I love to wear them without socks... I HATE to wear socks so these are a dream come true!

HOnestly - it depends. With the holes in the crocs, my feet do not sweat, with or with out socks.

But they do "mold" to your feet, and dont need a breaking in period like say Birkenstocks... but, they do align your feet, kneew, hips, and your body may get "tired" and you may not even realize its because of the crocs. They havent caused blisters because of a breaking in period, but like a foot doctor said, sometimes you're better off only wearing them an hour or two at a time while your body adjusts to the "change" in alignment...

I've been reading all these crocs posts, but can't find a pair that fits! :sad2: I normally wear a 5 1/2, I've tried the beach ones on, 4/5 was too small, 6/7 was too big! Then I ordered a size 6 cayman, too small, my toes were squished. :furious: I'm so disappointed, I wanted these shoes so bad!!! Has anyone else had a problem with sizes?

Anyone---

About how long does it take for the Crocs to be delivered if you order from the Croc.com company??

Lisa

I do find my feet sweat at times in those with no holes if not wearing socks.
I also weara 5 1/2 and bought a 4/5--and the next size. I prefer the bigger size--4/5 toes touch front sometiomes. Did not find the 6 too big, but you may. Hope you find something. they are so comfortable!

I got mine in 2 days from zappos with free shipping!

Crocs are $45 on Zappos!! No wonder the shipping is free!! I can get them around here for $30.

I paid 35. I've seen the beach style around here, but not the caymans. It was still less than ordering from the crocs site, I think their shipping was 9.95.

Well that's good then. Sounds like you were kind of stuck paying a little more!

Do the Caymans fit ok if the heel strap isn't turned back? I had the same problem - normally wear an 8 1/2, bought Beaches in 8/9. They fit good without the strap, but the strap back made my toes squish into the end. I put mine in the dryer for 3 or 4 minutes on low. When they came out, I put them on immediately and wore them around the house for awhile. The strap (which is very pliable when warm) adjusted immediately, and they've fit perfectly ever since. I also bought a pair of Aspens, which are single sized like the Caymans, in size 9. Same problem, same solution.

Mine have been quite comfy from the first try-on. I have flat feet and usually have to have shoes with good arch support. My feet don't give me any trouble at all in mine (don't know which ones I have -- BUT THEY ARE LIME GREEN!!). It's like I don't have on shoes.

I've found I do have to wear socks. My feet sweat in them in warmer weather and since there's nothing in the shoe to absorb the moisture, my feet slip around.

After reading all about these shoes I decided to try them. So I bought a pair the other day. I'm an 8 1/2 and the 8-9 fit all over except my toes were a little squished and were touching the tip of the shoe. The next size up was huge and so I did what I read on another post and put them in the dryer for a couple minutes on low heat and then put 3 pairs of socks on and wore this around the house for about an hour. They are perfect now. My toes don't touch at all. I flipped the strap up though because they strap was fine and I didn't want it to get stretched out. So you can stretch them if the 4-5 is close but not quite. :flower:

I hadn't read all the way through when I posted my last post so didn't know someone had already mentioned the dryer technique. The dryer is great!!!

I found some red crocs (for Valentine's Day :rotfl: ) on sale at my college bookstore for $19.99. I'm tempted to give them another try. I got Niles last year and didn't really care for them, so maybe I'll give the beach style a try. I'm not overly fond of the red color, but I could just wear them around town a little.
