Another Crocs question - no Crocs for me?!

I tried on Crocs for the first time. I normally wear a 9 - 9 1/2 shoe. The women's M 8-9 just fit. And I mean just - My toes actually touched the inside of the shoe. I would like them a little roomier but when I tried on the next size they were way too big!!!! So my question is if you wear Crocs do they loosen up after you wear then for a bit? It would bug me if my toe was always touching but it would bug me more that the next size ones felt like clown shoes on me!

Well, I think they really aren't supposed to touch your foot at all. I think they will actually stretch somewhat, but I don't know if I would buy them, if they weren't comfortable from the beginning. Also, I have had mine actually shrink. They were left in my car, and the right one actually ended up 1 inch shorter than the left, and no longer fit. These were the flip flops.

I actually know just what you are talking about. My feet are big anyway, so I hate wearing shoes that are too large and floppy. I have a pair of Beach crocs that make my feet look even more huge (and hot pink was the only color in my size- which didn't help!) and so I wear them only in the house, like slippers- so comfy.

The Caymen style looks just like the Beach style, but I think you can order it in a more exact size. You may need to order it, as I don't think I've seen it in stores.

I really like the Athens flip-flop, and I am not really a flip-flop person, I usually hate the between-the-toe strap. But this one doesn't bother me. I find them just as comfortable as the beach or caymen. Anyway, I can actually get away with a little bit smaller size with them, since they are open-toe. So I don't feel so much like I am wearing clown shoes.

Good luck- I LOVE my crocs!

Thats funny I had ask the same question:confused3

I have a wide foot, usually wear a 81/2 or 9 ,when i tried on the med it fit fine except just a little snug over the arch of my foot.
The next size was too big. I have been wearing them around with socks(under pants of course!) hoping to stretch them somewhat. I hope they do stretch a little.

I personally would not buy them if they are touching any part of your foot. I had a pair of smaller niles and the tops rubbed the side of my foot where the big toe bone is, if you know what I mean. And I got blisters! In my experience, they do not stretch at all.

If you read their website, they will suggest that you should have a small space all around your foot, because if they rub against that special Croc rubber, it will blister. I think the fact that they are supposed to wear larger is what makes these shoes so super comfortable.

If you don't like the Cayman/Beach clog style because they are so bulky, try the more slimming styles like the Patra or Cleo (I absolutely love these styles!). I saw my local Canadian Costco selling Mary Jane styles for ladies for $25, when they normally retail $35! This is also another good option too.

Crocs do not fit me, but Holey Soles do. They are not a cheap knock-off, they cost about the same as Crocs, and they fit my foot perfectly. There is a Holeysoles.com website, they can tell you where to find them in your area. I found them in a large garden/craft/furniture store. I have 3 pairs and wear they are all I will wear at the parks.

They must be the Cayman crocs. I have the Beach style, and they (or used to) come in whole sizes. I'm a 9.5/10 and the 10s fit me well, so try a 9 in those, they should be a good fit. :thumbsup2

Sorry, someone already said that. I need to learn to read all of the other posts before posting myself!

Thanks for the suggestions. I checked out the crocs website and it is the Caymans that come in one size - the Beach come with the 2 size range. It was the Beach that I tried on since that is the one ones that have the Disney Mickey ears pattern. I will try the Caymans on my next trip to the store and see if the more exact size helps but it looks like I can't get the Mickey ears (although the Minnie Janes look really cute!) I will also check out the other website mentioned too. Thanks again!

I had the same issue with the beach crocs the 8-9 seemed to small and the 10-11 way to big. So I went with the size 9 caymans and they are perfect. My dh on the otherhand found the size 10 cayman's a little small (his toe hit the end) but the 11's were huge. I thnk the beach 10-11 would fit him better but he hasn't had a chance to try them. Good luck.

Same issue here. Im usually and 8 or 8 1/2. The 8-9 is way too big but the smaller size is too small. Im fine in a size 8 maryjane though. All of the styles fit differently.

I have the same problem. I am in between sizes in the Beach style. I wear a 7.5 or 8 and the small (6-7) size is too small but the med (8-9) is huge! I opted for a pair of the caymans in 8 and a pair of the crete flip flops in a 7. I love them! I was a little upset that I did not fit in the Disney crocs or my beloved Georgia Tech pair either :sad2:

I found out the hard way that the same size in the different styles can be drastically different fit-wise. I can't wear the clog styles at all-they are either too wide or too floppy. I'm an 8 and a regular width and I had no luck with those. Athens gives me irritation between the toes. The Capri and Sassaris are the ones I have and LOVE. You may just have to check out the different styles and see what works for you or go for something other than crocs.

There are a lot of different styles now, I'm sure a different style would fit your better. I have Mary Janes and they come in whole sizes. I wear a 7 1/2 shoe and got a size 8 in the MJ's. Is there a store where you can try them on? We have a crocs outlet in our outlet mall now.

I really think Crocs needs to start doing some half-sizes. I would own a slew of Crocs if they fit me better. Same thing with my kids last year and the Croclings, one size was too small, the other way too big.

I know they're supposed to be loose, but they should be ridiculously huge.

Hi
The Croc scutes are great. They're a slide, so it's all open in the front. My toes always touch the front of Crocs too. Then the next size up seems too big. I wore the Croc scutes to DW three times, (I have two pairs, different colors) and they are so comfortable. I'm usually get blisters from sneakers, but I didn't have any from my scutes. They are the best!! Have a great trip!!
