I think my family is spoiled ! And its all my fault !

I feel like I am "stalking you" as we have reservations for 12/26 to 01/06 this year. I made my reservations on the day we returned from our New Year's visit this past January. My husband hates me. I have booked 03/25 to 04/02 for spring break, 06/11 to 07/31 for summer. I am crashing with my parents over Thanksgiving week in their motorhome. I told him to teach me how to pull the travel trailer, but nooooooo......so now he has to go with me every single trip! :rotfl: I am glad you get to go back over Christmas and hope you enjoy your trip.

PS: It takes us about 8 hours pulling our camper. I think it is something loke 430 miles from my front door to Ft. Wilderness, exactly how long does it take for 1100+ miles :earseek: .

Thats too funny that your family will be there also ! Now if we had June ressies also... people may think this is a conspiracy, we are hogging miss Sundee :teeth:

I dont mind the drive at all. I have always enjoyed driving and now with the trailer it is even more convenient. I just picked up my new 2500HD diesel crew cab truck 2 weeks ago, now I have plenty of truck to pull the trailer. the 1/2 ton Avalanche I had before could do it but it was about all you could get out of a 1/2 ton.

depending on when we leave the trip takes about a day and a half. We drove down in December when we stayed at Boardwalk. Without the trailer we usually stop in Perry GA (just south of Macon) that takes us about 14 hours from our house. The next morning we get up and on the road and are at WDW around 2PM. I ended up driving the trip home staright through in 22 1/2 hrs with a 1 1/2 hr stop for dinner at the Cracker barrel as the only real break. I dont sleep well on the return trip and some of the Motels are a little scary so we saved the $$$ and toughed it out.

When we travel with the trailer we usually leave around 5 PM (after school) and drive into Kentucky and stop for 6 or 7 hrs of sleep. Up the next morning and into Florida by late evening. Depending on the schedule we will sleep again on the road and then up with the sun and on to WDW and my happy place (fort Wilderness) Usually we come straight up and down I-75 but have gone through the Carolinas before. Beautiful country and fuel is a lot cheaper than here in MI. Funny that no matter where I travel fuel is always the highest at home when we leave and when we come home.

Looking forward to meeting you at the campfire in 3 weeks

Scott

Just wanted to say "hi" to Bigdisneydaddy. See you are from Fenton...nice place. My In-laws use to have a house there. My DH is from Flint.
Have a great time in WDW! I love it there at Christmas time.

Hi,

My family will be spending the week before Christmas (Dec 18-23, 2005) at WDW and staying at Ft Wilderness. The only other time we were at WDW was June 2004. How does Disney decorate the campground for Christmas?

Thanks.

:wave2:
