Another APH question....

When I called the reservation line, I was told that none of the discounts (APH, AAA) can be used with any other offer like "Stay ~n~ Play". I was wondering if getting the APH discount also effects a Lowe's upgrade?

Also, I think this has probably been answered before but I can't seem to find it.....do any standard rooms at RPR have a view of the parks or are they all views of the hotel entryway, I-4, etc.?

APH does affect the Loews upgrade. An easy way to see that is to enter your Loews 1st number along with the APH code. If you are Platinum they won't even show APH rates.

Thanks for the info!! I don't really care about the room, but I would like to have a nice view. Can you get a pool/park view with out actually being in "pool view" room? Does the APH only effect room upgrades or does it effect all the perks? I don't know much about the Loews membership because I've only used it once. We just went from a standard room to a pool view room, which really isn't much of an upgrade, but it was still nice. Especially since I noticed they charge $30 extra just for a different view.

The APH rate affects all the Loews perks. You are not supposed to get the welcome gift (although some have), you are not supposed to get an upgrade (although some have) and you are not supposed to get the nights counted towards your Gold or Platinum status (although some have.)

As for the rooms, there are some great park views from the standard rooms in tower 1. There is a thread here (which Motherfletcher posted the link to above) where people have posted their room numbers and the views they have had.

The APH rate will not affect your request for a view. We have had some great park views, always with an APH rate.

Thanks for all the info, it really helps.....I think APH is the best deal considering all of the other discounts you get. Besides, no one else we go with has a Loews membership.
