I've read through the threads and I don't really remember seeing an answer to this...

Now that the AP rates have come for my dates and I've booked my room, when should I actually purchase the AP? Is there any advantage to doing it now or should I just wait until right before we go? I'm also a little confused with the ordering process, if I order it online do they mail something or do they just e-mail some kind of confirmation you turn in at the park when you arrive?

There really is no monetary advantage of when to purchase but you could do either. I would suggest doing Will Call at the electronic ticket kiosks so you can print out and go directly to the gate. All you'll need is the confirmation number on the order and the credit card used...your tickets will pop right out. Plus its one less thing you have to keep up with while you're traveling.

I ordered mine online then used the kiosks outside Islands of Adventure (where we were going that morning). At first I thought I had to get in the Will Call line, which was long, but kept rereading my printed out confirmation, and ended up leaving the line to use the kiosk. Super-easy. Printed out my AP with my name on it and everything!

Thanks for the replies. We'll be arriving very late (flight is supposed to get in at 9:30 pm), will I be able to print my pass at the hotel (staying at RPR) that night or will have to do it in the morning at the park? And if I have to do it at the park, how early can I do it (want to do early entry for WWOHP)?

You can print your tickets at the hotel kiosk

Very good news! I'm hoping to get as much done as possible the night before so we won't have to wait in the morning.
