Another annual passport question

Hi Guys

Newish poster and a long time lurker. Having read through all 24 pages I haven't found the answer I was after so hope you can help.

There are 8 of us going back to DLRP in Jan. 6 adults and 2 kids (6 and 3). 3 of us adults have expired Dream AP's, the same 3 are also share holders.

Now I know the free kids passport expires at the beginning of Jan and we don't go to the end.

Is there anyway of applying for a "renewal" of our existing AP's to take advantage of the free kids pass and then having it dated from beginning of Jan? We'd lose a few weeks but gain a kids pass.

Or is there a better way round this? Been trying to get my head round this for a bit now. I know sponsorship would give us 10% off and Shareholder 15% but sponsorship also gives someone else benefit and I like the idea of giving something back.

Hmh. So those 3 APs did expire already? There's no "renewal" then. Just order fresh APs and get kids' free. The offer cannot be combined with Shareholders discount or sponsoring.

Alternative would be to apply shareholders + family discount as long as you all belong to one family (same home address). Would be 20% family discount for 5 APs (in fact same as "one free") *plus* 15% shareholder discount (in fact close to "one free"). As far as I know APs don't have to be of the same type. Sponsoring discount, of course, not possible with this model.

You could just get them for the date you really need them without caring for the 'kids free' offer, won't lose time, but after all spend a little bit more (if you all take Dream APs).

As Oliver says Free child under 7 AP cannot be combined with other discounts. So takes 2 adults out of the equation if you want to match them to the 2 children

Thanks for that - we are not all same family. Breakdown is Gran, mum, 2 kids and neice from 1 family, me and neice plus 1 friend. So maybe we can work it someway with the family set up. Does each individual have to take documentation to prove the home address?

You'll probably not have it for the children, but expect to be asked for it for the adults

I forgot to mention this: people who had an AP already (during the last 2 years) cannot become sponsored for their new APs (as "sponsoring" refers to "bring new people to the magic kingdom"

It's checked with Disneys database, it *can* happen that they don't find you because they love to mistype the names *lol* but of course it's a clear condition you sign for, so you probably can't get sponsored, but sponsor others yourself (you'll receive the 'parrainage' form with each new AP, it's all french anyway).

If it's difficult to organize the family discount you might stick to your first plan of free kids' APs then. There's a form (paper or PDF and all in french again) to order APs up to 1 month in advance, you can easily request it at DLRPs brochure section or download it at the »DLRP Website

The new brochure (with next season's pricing) will probably be released in November.
