Another annual pass question

Hi Everyone,

My husband and I own DVC, and live with my parents. My parents wanted to take my son down to Disney before school gets out (DH and I are both teachers). If we purchased the PAP for them, how would that work since it says you need to show the DVC card and photo id? Would they not be able to get the tickets without us there? What if we ordered online?

One of the DVC members would have to be there with their member card. If you order online, you get a voucher to be exchanged, so it's the same. I have heard of a case or two in the past where people were able to get an older child (like an 18 year old) to pick up a DVC AP without the parents there. I can't remember if they took a note or did some kind of pre-arrangement with DVC or what. Whether that would work with your adult parents or not, I'm not sure.

I would call member Services and see if they have any ideas for you. But the rule is that the DVC member has to be there with their card.

You would need to be there to pick up the tickets with you iD and your membership card. Your parents will also need to be able to prove where they live.

You might be able to send along a copy of your DVC Membership card and your drivers license, showing the same address as your parents license. At least it is worth it to call MS and ask, the worst they could say is "No."

I would call MS as well & find out if there is a procedure in place for when the member is not there.

Your parents should be covered under the "immediate family living with you in the same household" rule.
