I have an AP that was purchased in mid-September 2009 before I was a DVC member. Obviously, it expires mid-September 2010.

If I renew before 31 August 2010, will I get the $100 savings for being a DVC member AND 15 months on my renewed AP, stretching my AP to mid-December 2011?

Hello
I imagine that this would work... you're renewing within the 30 day expiration, and by showing your DVC Member card, you should get the discount.
DVC AP Renewals receive the 3 month extension.
Anyone else want to confirm this?

Edited to add: Noticed on another thread that someone was denied the extension, as they were told by MS and others that they no longer offer the extension. The thread can be found here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2377013
You may want to call Disney and/or Member Services to confirm this.

Just sent a PM to Cheshire Figment and asked him to clarify these posts. It'll get figured out one way or the other :thumbsup2

For a while there were two different 15/12 programs in effect.

One was for new Florida Resident passes which expired December 31, 2009.

The other, which is still in effect is for renewals of APs and is valid until August 31, 2010. Although the notice does say the program can be changed at any time.

If you are talking to someone at Member Services, tell them to go into The Hub and look under Work >> Ticketing >> Guest Offers >> Passholder Promotion: 15 Months for the Price of 12 Months. Unless there is something they have, in writing, which contradicts this the program is still going on.

We just renewed ours and received the extension.

Whew! Thanks for that clarification, Figment. I realize that it can be revoked at any time by Disney, but there's so much different information flying around on these boards, clarity is not always there. Thanks for describing what appears to be the discrepency in the information.

I was the person on the other post who was denied the extension. Now I am over 30 days past my expiration date. Do you think I can do anything about it? I was even called back by someone in MS who said she had researched it and it had in fact expired. I really wanted to get this promo, anything I can do? Thanks for your knowledge!

Thank you for the response :thumbsup2

I was thinking of getting an annual pass for the first time, IF, when I renewed it a year later I would get 15 months. For me that would be 27 months for the price of 24, and I could almost certainly plan so I took 3 of my annual trips durring those 27 months. (The two trips in 12 months is harder for me to get to work) However, it looks like the program would have expired before I got to my first renewal, so I am not going to buy an Annual pass.

Am I corect in my logic?
