Another annoying MDE question

I have tried to search for an answer to my question but I can't seem to find one hopefully someone on here will have mercy on me. I am trying to make sure that my DSIL photos can be shared with my MDE because I bought Memory Maker and though we are traveling together, we may split up from time to time. Anyway, on MDE it says she can view and share photos with me but her husband and kids say they can not. Does this mean they will not be able to scan their magic bands to link pictures? Only DSiL? Also, my husband and kids say. "Invite to plan and share" but they don't have disney accounts. Does that mean they can't have their bands scanned for pics either? I'm so confused!

As far as I know, as long as they're on your Friends and Family list, their pictures can can be added to your Memory Maker account.

I have a similar situation. My husband and I arrived a few days ago. We've been using the bands with No problems.

HOWEVER

We get lots of conflicting answers to our questions.

Our college daughters will be joining us tonight. They will be going to MK but not us. I want them to be able to use MM. Some cast members say no, it only works for my band. I have to be there.

One cast member said- their bands will work with Photographers but not rides or characters or meals. They have to take my band to the attractions or characters with them and the chip will automatically put it on my band as they ride by. (Suuure it will). Another cast member said every band on our account works exactly the same.

I don't know what to think.

One thing to watch out for- the alleged "it will load to your band as you ride by" feature was down on 3/11 for Space ranger spin and we had to stop and have a CM add the photos at the desk. But no one tells you this at the attraction. We were just skeptical and asked. "So, our photo is on Mm automatically?"

CM: " it would be, but that's not working today. Let me add that for you."

All I can say is check and double check. It's a great idea. Love love love it- but it's not quite ready if you ask me.
