Another Announcement?

Wasn't there scheduled to be two announcements this week? One yesterday and one tomorrow? Did I misunderstand that? If there is another one, any rumors as to what it is?

DISNEY CRUISE LINE

2012 Itineraries Announced
Disney Cruise Line just announced that they will be sailing out of New York, Seattle, and Galveston in 2012. The Disney Cruise Line is also rolling out a series of new itineraries, including its first-ever Hawaii and Pacific Coastal cruises, and two-night teasers out of NYC and cruises to Canada. Gold and Platinum Castaway Club members will be able to make reservations beginning April 7. General public reservations begin on April 8. Details and dates of the new itineraries can be found here.

DISNEYLAND SHANGHAI

Construction Begins April 8
Bob Iger, Disney CEO will be on hand for the ground breaking ceremony April 8 at Shanghai Disneyland. The initial phase of a planned three phase development will include the theme park and two hotels. The park is slated to open some time in 2016.

I got this in a email from Magicaly Speaking so I'm assuming it's correct, but we shall see.

There is supposed to be an announcement tomorrow. My guess is that that are going to announce next years package rates instead of waiting until August. But I guess we will see!

We will have to wait and see but my guess is what you are thinking The Disney UK site already has free dining for 2012 out if you book by the end of July (or August, not sure). Maybe the same will be announced for the US tomorrow?

I've seen this on a couple of websites so I'm almost 100% sure this is one of the announcements tomorrow, if there is more than one.

It will be exciting to see what the announcement is.

I was in China adopting my amazing daughter when they announced the Shanghi Disney addition and have a copy of the daily paper with the announcement in it. A fun keepsake for sure! When we return for a homeland visit when she's older we'll make sure Shanghi Disney is part of our trip!

Is there any guess as to what time the announcement might be made?

Bekah, could be. A few people had valid points that usually Visa Card holders get a jump start on good offers and AP deals are usually offered first so..... I guess it's not a good shot that something big is happening for the general public first but hey, I can still hope

Man I hate this. I almost liked it better last year when I was dumb and didn't know about the FD deals and the DIS!!!

HAHA, I feel the same way. I think that when I first priced it out I didn't think the package was all that bad UNTIL I learned about 30% off discounts and FD and then of course the infamous pin codes and forget it. Now the thought of paying full price seems crazy (although I will if I have to I'll just be disappointed). Now I am obsessed with getting this trip cheaper

2012 cruise point charts up; bookings begin April 8

Earlier this week Disney Cruise Line announced its itineraries for 2012. Included in the ports for the 2012 sailings are New York, Seattle, Galviston and Los Angeles.

DCL will begin accepting reservations from the general public on Friday, April 8. Disney Vacation Club members can also begin booking the 2012 cruises with points at that time. Due to expected demand, DVC Member Services will reportedly open at 8:00am EDT on Friday 4/8/11 to accommodate 2012 cruise reservations.

The point charts for all of the announced 2012 itineraries are now available on DVCMember.com.
