When booking a room with CRO using either a AAA/CAA or AP rate, I assume you do not have to have the AAA/CAA membership card or the WDW AP until you check-in right?

I would like to book very soon for 12/2006 vacation but only want to buy an AP (or CAA membership) if I get an AP (or CAA) rate. Can you always get an AAA/CAA rate or do they block so many rooms like with an AP discount code?

Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

I did not need to give them my AAA number when I called. I don't know if you would show it at check in since I applied a code before that point.
We have never had a problem getting a AAA code but i have heard it is not always available to all rooms all of the time.

You do not need to produce the AAA or AP cards until you check in. And if you buy the AP in advance and only have the voucher, you can check in and get the actual AP the next day and then take the AP to the front desk to prove that you have it.

We have stayed at WDW many times using an AP rate and only remember being asked to show the AP one time when we checked in.

Actually booked room only for CBR last night with AAA dicount and she did ask for my membership #

Same here, I booked AAA rate at Poly and had to give my # to the CM - she also stressed VERY MUCH to remember to bring my AAA card, as I will need it at check in.

When I booked AAA I had to give them my membership number. When I booked AP, they never even asked for my AP at check in. I even asked if they wanted to see the AP voucher and she said no, that's okay.

I just booked through AAA and they did not ask for my membership #. I called once to find out pricing and once to place the deposit and neither the agent or Disney asked for it.

Maybe it was because I called the AAA office directly :confused3

For CAA or AAA you need to give your membership number and expiration when you book and you need to have your card when you check-in.

For AP you need your pass or voucher at check-in.

HayGan-- I don't think it is because you called AAA directly. I have made 4 ressies with AAA discount and have never been asked my number.(through CRO) Now like I said before... I've switched them to a code before getting there so I would not know if they would have asked me for it at Check in or not.
