Another 7 month widow question at an impossible place to get

I know it's a snowballs chance, but it COULD happen. Throw in a few Hail Mary's and a contract for my soul..... I'm going to try and get a few days at BCVs mid-Oct.. I know it's a near impossible thing to do BUT I'll at least go in asking for ANY 2-4 days together during our planned week and a half stay and I'll also say we'd be open to any room sizes though we'd prefer a 1BR. I'm not going to ask anyone to look into their crystal ball and give me hope. I know it's a fat chance but it can happen and I'm forever hopeful. Someone will get lucky when we release a few days at AKV at club level. What I'm wondering is if I need to wait-list, which I'm sure we will, am I better off asking for dates in the middle of the week and not the weekend? Or wouldn't it matter? Or is that question akin to a crystal ball question about "will we get it"?? I'm trying to allow the most flexibility for the best chance outcome.
I have my alternate options figured out. this is just the pie-(eyed Mickey)-in-the sky choice.

Unfortunately my crystal ball is shut down for the night but I did want to share that I was able to get a 1BR BCV at 7 months for the second week in Oct 2 years ago and also a few days in a studio. From that I waitlisted for additional days in a studio until we had 1 week there also so it's not completely pie in the sky!

Thanks! Unfortunately, my crystal ball operates more like that of the Magic Answer Ball The Onion (newspaper) has. 100%, unmitigated sarcasm and not one straight answer. I gave up on it years ago. In fact, let's see what my "sarcasm ball" says....
Well, what do you know?!? It said "unless Jesus returns right now, the answer is yes." Didn't expect THAT answer.

I think you will have better luck than you think. We are staying at bcv for 13 days this summer and I called instead of online and ms took about 1 min came back on phone said ok you are good to go..... Here is your reservation number. That was at little under 7 months.

We were also able to get a studio for 5 nights this summer. I know it is not as high in demand as W&D, but it is during the last week of Star Wars Weekend so I was pleasantly surprised.

Just get on or call first thing to make sure you are up towards the top of the wait list if they don't have want you need.

We've had good luck with calling vs online - was able to get BLT in July less than 7 months out...I thought it was completely impossible but DH called, took about 5 minutes and we were booked. DS is beyond excited to spend his birthday there

I'll have to call for sure as the points we need to use are tied up in our current ressie right now. So I will have that one hour disadvantage behind the online bookers, but I'm still hopeful. Thanks for encouragement guys. I know it's the worst time to try to get in there... but when my oldest son asked to have one resort day where we just hung out at the pool and resort (first I checked his pulse ) I thought that it'd be the best ever to be able to spend time at Kidani and then our checkin day at BCV, be able to go over there, check in and enjoy that too. Pure heaven. one can dream....and pray.

I've had really good luck with 7 month mark at GCV in Disneyland. I've read about lots of luck lately too.
