ANOTHER 4th FP+ Question Regarding Hopping

Let's say I have my 3 for a particular park, and I end up leaving that park to hop somewhere else before I've used them all. Once my last scheduled one expires, will I be able to get another one at the park I'm currently in? Or am I put of luck because technically what's unused is still "in play" since they can be rescheduled?
Here's my situation. I'm flying in for a quick weekend trip on a Thursday and currently my 3 for that day are at Epcot. I'm really only interested in riding Soarin' but since the program makes you schedule 3, I have 2 that I probably will not use. I'm hopping over to Studios for dinner and would like to have a shot at getting 1 or more over there. Do I really have to use the other 2 FP+ that I don't want or need in order to get more or can I just wait until the last one expires and get one at Studios?

You can schedule a 4th once the 3rd expires. I THINK you can even make a 4th once the window for #3 opens up.

There have also been reports on here that people have been able to move up FP #2, once they used #1 into the same window so they overlapped and were able to schedule the 4th even earlier.

1. You need to use at least one of your first three and have the times for all 3 pass before you can book a 4th. The 4th must be booked at a kiosk in the park that has the attraction you want FP for.
