Ok, so we have our ADRs set. We have DDP for 7 nights, so 7 TS meals.

Planet Hollywood--we will pay OOP
Chef Mickey's
Le Cellier (lunch, so 1 TS)
Trail's End
Yachtsman
Probably Beaches & Cream (may pay OOP, leaving us with 2 TS)

First, do you think it's better to pay OOP for B&C, seems fairly inexpensive and heard meals are BIG so may even be able to share, however by paying OOP, not sure if we would get dessert which is the main attraction!

Second, if we do pay OOP, that leaves us with 2TS...what do you suggest for a neat experience? We have pretty much all "plain" dining experiences...so was considering something different, but still want American food. What would you suggest as a good 2 TS meal? Wish Rainforest Cafe took DDP, as I was looking forward to that atmosphere.

Thanks for suggestions!:goodvibes

Liberty Tree Tavern is American-Style food and is fun with the characters dressed in their colonial gear.

Also if you are trying a little bit of different food, Ohana is excellent, some of the food is pretty plain and some has a south pacific flair.

Flying Fish was one of the best meals I've ever had. The Leek sauce on the Red Snapper was to die for. And a huge portion! Also dessert and apps were great too as was service. They do have steak if you aren't fish eaters, but I would not go if no one likes seafood.

Also Jiko has more unique food, but I did not have a great experience there mostly due to service. Many others have had much better, so if the food appeals to you, give it a try.

I much prefer Sanaa and you get to see the animals on the savannah, but that's a one credit meal. Go for lunch (while it's light out) to get the best view.

another vote for Flying Fish !! :cool1: it was one of the BEST meals we had at Disney. (the snapper is to die for !!!)

one tip though, if you have kids and you choose Flying Fish, ask what the fish is for the kids menu. I dumbly assumed it would be a cod or some kind of white fish. Weeeeeeel, it was salmon and our DD did NOT like that at all. It didn't even occur to me to ask. Our server was a sweetheart though. He saw that she was "helping me eat mine" and snuck in the back and miraculously brought out some chicken nuggets. I thought that was so sweet. :lovestruc

Yet another vote for Flying Fish. We (including the kids this time) had a fantastic meal there last month. The food was excellent, and the service could not have been better (Thanks, Bob!).

However, for dinner and a show, we had a great time at Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue. Basic food, but the whole family had a wonderful time, and have decided it must be a tradition going forward. I know that Dining Plan eligibility depends on the seating time, and that some sections are not available at some shows, but I am sure that Disney Reservations can walk you through that if you have any questions.

No brainer - Hoop Dee Doo. Great show, good food. Fun for the whole dern family.
