Anorexia for a Friend

How do you tell a friend that is a size one shes is not fat? My friend used to be anoreixc and now still wont eat a lot. She says shes fat and i keep telling her shes not and that she will go into therapy and everything. I know life has ben hard though because during our soccer season this year her mother died. She kinda died suddenly and she never really coped with it. But she says she has always felt this way and meks herself not like foods like chocalte and sweets.

Well your friend is not anorexic..yet. You need to talk to her, don't push her too much. If she really did lose her mother, you need to give her a little space.

My friend is also like this. She is very skinny and doesn't eat lunch everyday. And when she does, all she gets is nachos and milk, and she doesn't eat much of this. I have no idea what to tell her... I haven't said anything about it, except when she calls me skinny, and calls herself fat. I say that, of course, she isn't fat.. What are we supposed to say?

You need to tell your friend honesty, like a sit down conversation, that she is not fat.

First get Help!!!! tell someone, an adult! your friend may be mad at first but she will be great full in the long run. if she is truly anorexic it has major health repercussions. One of my friend had it missed a year of school due to the health problems it caused and is now back in rehab because it relapsed. so please get her help. tell your mom!

Thanks everyone I will use the advice. Sparx, what i meant was that she likes to think she's not anoreixc because she does eat just small things and not often. She just keeps telling me she won't be happy until she is 96 pounds. I just keep trying to calm her down without bringing up her mother. She really has not thought about her mothers death. This I think is sorta of her way of dealing with it.
