Good morning! My DW, DD4 and I leave in a little under 48 hours now! So excited! Have a question about annual passports. We received the email regarding the payment plan option for California residents, and are considering getting them. We are going this time, with 4 day PH, can we upgrade these to APs, and still do the payment option? Would we be required to do the $80 down payment, since we are getting the price of our PHs towards the price of the APs. Also, do we need to upgrade to APs before using our 4 day PHs the first day, or can we do so at any time during the 4 days? And...would the AP be good for 1 year from the date we upgrade, or would it be for 2012? Thanks all!

commented that she successfully did what you are wanting to do, upgraded a 4 day hopper to an AP and got on the payment plan.

If you choose to use your hopper tickets first then upgrade, your AP will be back-dated to the first day of use for the hoppers, so it will be good for one full year from the date you first entered the parks using the hoppers. You do not need to upgrade to an AP before using the hoppers and probably will not want to upgrade until you have taken advantage of your magic morning entry and passed any blocked out days that occur during your trip. You must upgrade sometime before the end of your fourth day of use though; you cannot go back after final use of the hoppers, i.e. day 5 for example, and get credit toward an upgrade.

Just to add to what PP said. The value of the PH will be your downpayment and the remaining balance will be divided into 12 monthly payments.

thank you both for the information! that helps me a great deal! i just thought of something else. for the payment option, do they run a credit check of some sort?

Like to get a copy of your credit report? No, definitely not.

No credit check. They do automatic payments to a credit card.
