So cal resident that has vouchers for Deluxe AP's that are set to expire on 12/31. I'm not sure that we can make it to Disneyland or DCA by the end of the year.

The on-site ticket windows and the main info line staff have said that although it's best if we activate the passes prior to year's end, it would still be possible to do so into the new year.

I'm a bit nervous though as I seem to get conflicting answers depending on who I speak to on site or on the phone.

Does anyone out there have any experience with this sort of thing and can advise me the best course of action assuming that I can't get to the parks prior to the end of the year..........going on a DCL cruise on the Wonder and leaving on New Years Eve to go to Miami!

Would appreciate any help/thoughts on this.

Thanks!!

All experiences I have ever read on this site about this say that you will be able to use the value to get a new AP after this voucher expires. So if the cost of this voucher is the same as the AP when you go to the parks again, you'll pay nothing. If it has gone up, you get the value put towards the new AP.

If it were me, and I had plans to go in 2015, I'd make a point to get there if only just to walk in then go home. Unless you're down in San Diego or something, you've got to be close enough for that before NYE?

My parents had some health issues and couldn't activate their AP vouchers before they expired two years ago. I called before they expired and was told that they would still be honored, but we may have to pay a price difference. When they finally got there, the ticketing manager looked at them with disdain, and acted like she couldn't do anything with them because they were expired. I quickly explained that I had called and had been told they would just pay the difference (we had bought before a $90 price increase - yikes). That's what she did; she let them pay the difference. If I were you, I would call. That way, if you do get a jerky manager who doesn't feel like processing them, you can tell her you were told they would still be good.
