The other day I noticed there were a few changes made for AP park reservations. Among them are different areas to make park resies if you have a participating resort reservation and if you don’t. Also there are now bonus days that don’t count against your number of park reservations!! In addition, the number of days out available to choose from has been greatly reduced.

So .. they are trying to force AP holders to book Disney hotels? instead of staying offsite?

How far out does the calendar go?

THIS^

If you have resort stay you can make reservations for everyday of that stay and not count against your AP bucket of reservations. That is why it is different. They are not forcing you to stay on-site.

Calendar goes to Oct 2022 (I was just looking at availability - I already have 5 bookings for upcoming trip)

Yes, I just trying to work through this myself. DH and I have a resort reservation for 8 days in Nov and just bought new DVC sorcerer's passes. I had no problem booking the 5 days of PRs allowed on the AP for both of us, but when I told it we had a resort reservation, it only allowed me to book the extra three days allowed for DH and not for myself, which is odd because I am the primary one on the resort ressie. This is true for our January resort stay as well, but oddly for our April stay, it show's both of us. I assume it's another weird glitch, but I wonder if anyone else is seeing glitches with all of this. It's very frustrating, and I guess I'll have to call next week.

Mine only goes up to Oct 15 of this year!? As seen in the photo. If I look at Nov, I get this

My calendar only extends about a month?

I think I figured out why it won’t let me go past Oct 15, ds’ pass expires on the 15th and for some reason it’s not picking up the renewal pass. Yet if I try for DH and I, I can book out to our expiration date in December.

I was looking at the availability calendar, not the booking calendar.

I just clicked on modify for one of my reservations and it goes to Oct 2022 - My AP is not activated yet. I presume once I activate, it will show only a year.

Called Disney Internet Tech Support and apparently it's an issue that a few other people had with renewals as well. Hopefully, they'll fix it soon!

Hi.
What does a "bonus day" mean when booking? We will have one IncrediPass and one Socerer's Pass.
Three onsite stays and one offsite stay.
I am not sure I understand why I want a bonus day? I thought we still had to make a ressie at our first park and
go to any park after 2:00 pm, doesn't matter how many.

Thank you.

A "bonus day" is one that doesn't count towards your limit of 5 theme park reservations. This won't have any impact during your onsite visit, but can help if your offsite visit is longer than 5 days.

Hi. What does limit of 5 Theme Park Reservations actually mean?
If I am staying nine nights at BWVs, can I not make nine days of park ressies?
If I am staying off-site, what does that mean?
Thank you SO much!

When you stay on-site, you can make park reservations for the length of your visit (up to a max of 14, I believe). Otherwise, APs are limited to 5 park reservations. The reservation system won't allow you to make a 6th until after the 1st is used, and on a rolling basis like that.

Thank you. I'm beginning to understand and appreciate your help.
So, any onsite visit using my AP does NOT count toward the 5 park reservation system, correct?

For offsite, I can make 5 days of park ressies and they do not have to be continuous. I can make for a Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the same week, up to five days. If I want six days as an offsite guest, I can make my 6th day after I use (tap into) my first park day. I cannot hold more than 5 days at the same time.

How far in advance can an offsite guest make their park ressies?

Thank you!

Correct, an onsite resort stay with an AP will not count toward the park reservation limit as long as you make the reservations from the right bucket. With the new APs they rolled out a new park reservation bucket for "AP with resort reservation" or similar wording.

The 5 park reservations can be anytime, just a max of 5. Could be 1 per month spread over 5 months; or 5 in the same week; or whatever combination of 5 suits your needs. The 6th can only be made after the parks have closed on the day you use the 1st. So if you have 5 reservations M-F, you can make another for Saturday after parks close on Monday.

I believe the park reservation calendar goes through Dec. 2022 at this time.

Oh, thank you.
So, for the February trip that is offsite, we can make the park ressie now for 5 days as long as the onsite ressies we make are from the AP with resort reservation bucket!
Between you and another poster, I think I finally have an understanding! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
