Annual Passholder or Free Dining? which is better

I'm contemplating purchasing an Annual Pass. Most likely I'd only use it once or twice a year but I've read it's still worth it! However, I understand that if you're an AP holder, you can't take advantage of the Free Dining promotion. Any opinions on which would be a better value???

You can take advantage but you still have to buy the required ticket.

We've done it, used the ticket for family member without APs on another trip or used the ticket towards our next AP.

You really have to do the math to see if an AP is worth if for you.

1) You have to do the math.
2) Every circumstance can be different.

. . . AP discount vs FD
3) In many cases, NOT taking FD is financially better.

I just purchased an AP. I have 2 trips planned. 6 day ticket for September was $405, 3 day ticket for Nov was $305, Parking for 7 days at theme parks for the Sept trip was going to be $154, That was more than the $859 for the AP AND I get free photopass pictures. Now am planning to come back for a few more short trips next year as well
