Hi there! The Disneyland.com website is still showing the fall newsletter with Jack-o-lanterns! I seem to remember it was always toward the end of November when the winter one went up. Some people have said they did not get their newsletter in the mail either.... anyone out there recieved their annual passholder winter newsletter yet? hard to plan for special offers and events when you don't get the newsletter! Thanks in advance for replys...oh and I spent more than 10 minutes on hold yesterday long distance from Canada before it finally went to a message telling me to call back on regular business hours (this was 2:30 in the afternoon) anyway.... if someone living down there would like to call to find out when they will be out, the number is
714-781-7290

Anyone living there willing to phone the number I listed and find out what's going on? I don't want to waste more money on long distance from Canada :confused3

I dont think anyone has gotten theirs yet. And it is even more frustrating that they haven't updated the website yet either. Grrr. Disney really hurting and can't afford enough staff or something? lol

I haven't gotten mine yet, but now that we know one Passholder has received theirs, then I trust the rest of us will be getting ours in the next few days. As a matter of fact, when I went to the Bank in DLR to have my (awful) picture taken, the girl behind the counter didn't even suggest I take any of the brochures or the magazine or anything. Seeing that I was a brand new AP holder, you would think they would push all of that stuff on you, but she didn't say a word. I had to ask, "Are we allowed to take this brochure and magazine?"

I finally phoned them again, got through quickly this time.... she said they would be updateing the online one the middle of this week, it still has not been updated yet.

I never got offered ANY info, or brochures when I upgraded to my Dlx ap. I was not aware I needed to ask. I have not gotten anything from the AP people only the Disney Visa newsletter.

We have had Premium A.P.'s for awhile and we were never was asked. They just started showing up.

They do state in their info that newsletters are NOT part of the AP membership, that they are completely extra. I didn't want to be told that "in person" so I didn't call (and the number given seemed to just be going to a general Disney number, not AP specific...OK so I did call to see what the number was b/c I needed to contact the AP people anyway). Because usually the AP people are only available by message and call-back.

What are these Brochures and Magazine that you speak of at the Bank?

Just just got our first ever Deluxe AP's on Saturday night. I didn't get a magazine. We got one pamphlet showing the blockout dates calendar and that's it. In fact they didn't even explain the AP's to us, so we didn't realize that there was no 10% merchandise discount with Deluxe, or the extra 5% on food. :(

I also went online and was disapointed to see the Halloween newsletter, and only a hotel calendar until the end of March. We were hoping to plan a April/May trip right now, and can't price it out.

We received our December/Winter newsletters in the mail yesterday.

I have not gotten mine yet but if you got yours, Pooh's Twin, mine shouldn't be far behind (since we are both in SoCal). By the way, have you made your Fox-contest DLR trip yet? Which hotel is it? Which character meal have you chosen? Give us the scoop!

When you go to the Bank to have your picture taken, on the counter at each individual CM's little station, there are the AP quarterly 'newsletters,' which are actually magazines (the last one had the Mickey pumpkin on the front), and other AP brochures and the little wallet-sized pamphlet that explains all the places you get discounts and how much of a discount. Because the CM didn't say, "Here, take one of our magazines," which I thought they would, I asked her if those were for us to take. The only AP-related thing I ever got in the mail was a Welcome to Becoming an AP Holder card. I am still waiting for the Winter magazine. If I don't get it in the next 3 days, I will just pop into the DL Bank when I am there and see if they have the Winter ones and grab one!

Ooh grab one for me, too. :)

They do tend to send out their magazines (which are an extra, not actually considered part of the AP "membership", according to things I've read, I believe, in the magazines) on the late side. So things in the Summer magazine expired in early June, etc. Ridiculous.

Anyway, for April/May, don't expect deals unless they are doing horribly! That's late spring break and pre-summer, and the prices I was looking at for our May trip last year were HUGE. No deals other than the 10% AP discount that's normal.

Okay!:goodvibes Even though I suspect that the rest of us will probably get our magazines in the next few days, I will grab a few extra (as many as I can without getting scolded by a CM behind the counter!) just in case we don't - this is provided they even have the new ones out in plain sight at the Bank!
