We are at WDW right now. It used by that you can use your magic band and your annual passholder card to get more FP. I just found out that our annual pass is linked to your magic bands. Is there any work around this or are we stuck only getting 3 FP a day for a single park? We haven't left yet for the parks, and wanted to inquire to see if there is a work around.

If you have MBs from a previous resort stay that were not linked to your APs, then those MBs would still function separately from your APs (to give you a second set of FP+).

The MBs given out for APs are going to both direct back to your MDE info -- so they will not give you separate FP+. Doesn't matter which one you use for park entry, at the kiosks, they will both refer back to the same MDE data.

If you should stay at a Disney resort in the future, make that reservation under a separate MDE which does not have your ticket information, and those MBs will function independently from your APs (= two sets of FP+). Keep in mind that this will only be true until Disney requires ticket media to be scanned on arrival in order to work at the FP+ kiosks. That could be soon.

Currently, our annual pass has just expired. We are in the process of going to get our new annual pass. By chance WDW send us 3 extra MB that don't seem to be linked up to our room. At least they are not working to open the door to our room. Do you think those would work to give an extra FP+? If so, how would we utilize them?

The only way to use unlinked MBs is to take them to a park FP+ kiosk to get same-day FP+ assignments. You can't make the FP+ reservations in advance if they're not linked.

Your new annual passes won't be linked to your MDE, so the passes themselves will provide separate FP+ reservations. (Unless you link them in order to get FP+ in advance.)
