Preferred passholders can purchase up to six additional tickets with their discounts. Single day tickets are 10% and multi day tickets are 15%.

i haven't had to buy tickets for friends on my last trip so i'm not sure.

go to the ap site (sign in there) and see what the price is there.
compare it to the gate price with the ap discount to see which is better.
