I currently have a trip planned for May 2010 with the public code. After I booked my niece asked me to take her back to Disney. Just found a great airfaire deal on Airtran so I said yes. Today, I tried calling to have apply the annual passholder discount instead of the public code to my reservation and the CM told me I could not do so. She said she spoke to guest services and she was informed I needed to have a annual pass to book the reservations. I believe that I have read here and on mousesavers that you did not need to. Please let me know if this has changed. I intend to call back and try a new CM, but if the policy has changed then I won't. Thanks.

O would call back also. I didn't upgrade mine until my last day. when I arrived at the resort, I asked at check in if it was ok. The CM thanked me for asking and said certainly. Our trip was last Thanksgiving

I booked AKL for 4/24/10-4/30/10 with an AP rate and I don't have my AP yet. I'll be getting it when I arrive. Call back and get a NEW ressie - don't try to apply the code to your existing ressie.

I called back and got a very nice CM who spent about 30 mins on the phone with me making the reservation changes. :wizard: Everything worked out and I saved over about $100 over the public code. Thanks.
