I'm at WDW now and got 20% off all of my merchandise purchases at MK today by showing my annual pass. I was told the annual passholder discount is 20% until Feb 1 but there are some exclusions. I can't find anything on the passholder site about the 20% discount much less the details of what is and isn't included as being eligible for the discount. Does anyone else have a link to information on this program?

I've been asking around too and no one seems to have any info. I hope it goes longer than Feb 1. We're on a super tight budget this trip but 20% off makes me a little more flexible. LOL

The additional discount has been extended through May 10, 2010 at Disneyland. :thumbsup2

I don't know if the same is true for WDW though, sorry.

They had this back in Dec too. I had done most of my shopping before I even realized they had the discount. If the idea is to get us to shop more, why do they keep it such a secret? Really now, What's the best kept secret? I'm certain it's not DVC.... but rather how to save money.

BTW - my 12 yo son tried to use his pass to get a discount (he was buying a b'day gift for me with his own funds) and they shot him down saying he had no id (other than his room key) and couldn't get the discount.

Ticked him off something fierce and now he thinks discounts = hassle

I've learned to ask each day I am there. There are always different discounts, you just have to find them. On Thanksgiving day AP holders were given the employee discount.:confused3 I also have the Disney Visa which sometimes works at other places besides DTD. A couple weeks ago I used it an the CM gave me 10% off. I can't remember where I was though.

I also have the Disney Visa, and am a DVC member, and have AAA. I've learned to list everything when I am buying anything inthe parks or a DTD because I never know which membership will have the highest discount. This is the first I've encountered the 20% for passholders though, and especially for inside the parks.

I hope it has been extended to May as in Disneyland as I am back here with family in March and then again for a few days in April. I could get very used to having a 20% discount and not having to chase to the Disney Store at DTD to get my 10% off with the VISA card.

The only id I have shown is my annual pass and my room key to charge the purchase to. You 'd think they wouldn't hassle kids with this, especially if he is standing there holding the money.

Every time I have tried to use the AP discount I have been asked for a photo ID. I usually don't carry my license since I need to to get back home on plane so keep it locked in the safe...so I have to go get my husband to get the discount..sometimes I run into a sympathetic CM and show her all my other cards DVC, room key and credit card. also they had the 20% before Christmas when we were there, that was nice. Going end of Feb into March so that would be nice...20% is and incentive to purchase.

I did have one CM in EPCOT ask to see a picture ID today to get the 20% discount. I got the discount on an expensive ornament in Germany but Japan doesn't participate.

This is such a great deal, I really which Disney would put it on the website or something so people know about it!

I'm guessing it is good also at the big Disney Store in DTD?
