I was wondering if anyone has the answer to my question about anuual passes. The discounted hotel rooms for annual pass holders are great right now and I was trying to decide if I should purchase one or not. We will only be there for three days and I will be wanting to park hop. If I were to buy a 2-park annual pass, would I be allowed to park hop like you do with the 3-and4-day park hoppers? Thanks!!!

Yes, you can park hop like the other passes. There are two different annual passes available to non-Southern California residents. The Deluxe passport and the premium passport.

The deluxe has some blockout dates--premium has no blockout dates. Go to www.disney.com and they have a section the shows what the blockout days are. It is mostly Saturdays and Christmas week, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, etc.

The deluxe is $149 and the premium is $199--I think you can get a $10 discount with you disney club membership on each.

They both come with various discounts for dining, shopping, etc. The premium passport gives you free parking.

Hope this helps!

Hi,
A year ago, I bought a two-park So-Calif annual passport (for about $100) and I'm not from So Calif - had no trouble and they knew I wasn't local. Anyone know if this is still possible.

We visit once or twice a year but bought deluxe AP's last year. It is good most days except Saturdays and holiday periods. We avoid Saturdays any way when we visit because of all the local kids that use DL as a hangout. We paid $199 per pass last year for the deluxe passes. This year they are cheaper and the premium passes are the same as the deluxe last year. I think the deluxe passes were around $145. A 4 day pass was approximately $144, so it made more sense to renew our AP's, when you look at all the discounts that come with them. We just received our renewals and upgraded to the premium. With each pass, we received a 20% off coupon on one transaction, which was good at most of the stores at both parks and DD. In addition, the price we received on our room at the GC was worth the price of the passes. We are paying $199/night for a theme park view this year and the same room was $350/night last year. You also get discounts at many of the restaurants, as well. And you absolutely get to use them to park hop. Needless to say we are fans of the AP.
