Annual Passes

We are new DVC members looking forward to our first trip in May. We want to purchase annual passes and wonder if there is any advantage to purchasing online prior to trip. If you still have to pick up the AP at Guest Services when you arrive (turn in voucher), does this really save any time?

Also wondering if we should expect to pay tax on the AP. What is the state sales tax in Florida?

Since you are going in May, I'd wait until you arrive. The reason people will purchase ahead is to avoid any potential price increase. The last increase was Aug 2007.

Yes you will pay tax on the AP. The tax rate for Orange County FL is 6.5%.

I have purchased mine on-line and used will call for pickup. This way, my AP is already paid for before I arrive. Plus, I avoid any potential price increases.
