Annual Passes

How early should I buy my annual passes with the DVC discount. I was thinking of buying them early so I can pay off the bill before the actual vacation, but I don't know when the clock starts for the 365 days. Can someone explain how this works

If you pre-buy your passes you will receive either a voucher by mail, or a will call number. You then redeem the voucher or will call at WDW for the actual pass, and then the use period begins.

I dont think they have a set time that they raise prices. The most recent was last August, but they have also raised prices on January 1...when the package prices and offerings usually change, like when they changed from hoppers to magic your way.

Ticket prices increased twice in 2006 and 2007.

It really depends upon the economy and what they think the market will bear.

I thought you could, but I couldn't remember. This will be my first AP.

Does Disney announce price increases before the increase takes effect? Maybe a week or so in advance so people can buy thier tickets before the increase deadline.

I never seem to know about any changes at WDW.....until "after" they take effect.

There are usually rumors posted before the increase, I don't know that they officially announce it. I bought mine a couple days before the price increase last August due to rumors on this board.

I also purchased ticketes before the price increase, I believe my info was from Mousesavers....they sent out a special announcement that the price was increasing the next day or something similar.

It does not matter when you purchase your tickets the 365 day window does not begin until the first time you use your pass at a park. I purchased mine last December and then used it April 12th so the 365 starts on april 12th.

I am staying at Wilderness Lodge and our first park will be Magic Kingdom. Does this mean I will have to go to TTC to get my DVC Annual Pass since Guest Relations at the Kingdom is inside the turnstyle?

There is a guest relations window at MK outside the turnstiles. Once you are through the security check, go all the way to the far right right.

True if you purchase by mail but when you buy at WDW either at a park or DTD, the AP is active even if you don't enter the park.
