Annual passes, upgrade everyone, or just one person?

We are headed to WDW in October, we will have 10 day tickets and when we go next year we will also have 10 day tickets. I know some people get annual passes and book the second trip before the one year mark. I have also seen some people upgrade just one pass to get the benefits and leave everyone else at regular tickets. What is the benefit of just upgrading one Vs having all 4 upgraded?

If you are sure you are going back just inside the 1 year mark, I'm sure you'll save buying everyone an annual pass over 2 ten day tickets. You'll want to check blackout dates and make sure that's not an issue. And once you have the AP, that means you won't be able to take advantage of package deals next year that require buying an additional ticket.

If you upgrade just on person's ticket to an AP, then you get to take advantage of free parking, free photopass and the AP discounts.

As other posters have said, you just need to do the math on buying 2 10 day tickets for each person vs. buying AP's for each person.

Keep in mind that if you book during free dining or some other promotions, tickets are required to be purchased, so an AP may not work for your family.
