Can I buy these on-line if I want to use my DC discount?

If not please can someone advise how to over the phone?

Can I state the date when I wish the passes to commence from?

Would you all agree that considering I perhaps go to PI once a trip and a water park once a trip that it isn't worth me getting the Premium Annual Pass?

Thanks ever so

Hope this helps:

The following places will send you a voucher for your AP/PAP. This voucher must be exchanged for the actual pass at any WDW ticket window or Guest Relations window or at the Guest Relations offices at Downtown Disney or Downtown Disney West Side:

- Most Disney Stores throughout the U.S.
- online at www.disney.com
- by calling 407-WDISNEY
The following places will sell you an activated AP/PAP. No exchanging required:

- Any WDW major park ticket window
- Guest Relations at the major parks or at Downtown Disney and West Side
- The Ocala Information Center on I-95 in Ocala, FL
- Disney's Flights Fantastic at Orlando International Airport
- The Magic of Disney at Orlando International Airport
- Character Warehouse at Belz Mall 2 in Orlando
- Character Premiere at Belz Mall 1 in Orlando
- Character Premiere at Orlando Premium Outlets Mall in Lake Buena Vista
All of the above locations will honor your Disney Club discount EXCEPT www.disney.com. Note that AP/PAP's cannot be purchased at Disney resorts.

Hi Sam

I looked into AP for this trip, but in the end got 10 Day Passes cheaply from Virgin Holidays.

I may be wrong, but I thought to get the DC Discount on the AP, you had to purchase them at the Parks?

Hopefully I'm wrong, and you can get the discount in other places, does anyone know the answer to this?

I just like to confuse folk! ;)

That's certainly my understanding, Tim.

Sam - unless you're hoping to beat any potential price rises, there's no real benefit in buying APs before you go - the procedure for exchanging certificates is identical to that for buying actual passes. If you do decided to buy a certificate, the pass will be valid from the day you exchange it. Do check that they get the date right on the pass itself - they got ours wrong, but luckily we spotted it straight away.

To buy over the phone, just call CRO and tell them you want to use your DC discount.

You do need to make a fair bit of use of the water parks, etc to make PAPs worthwhile. We buy APs and then just single tickets for trips to water parks/PI.

I have been told a good place to buy the passes is at Orlando Airport, they sell them at both the Disney Stores there - and you get the actual pass not a voucher.

We are going on 29th Nov(15days) and thinking of staying on site.

Any ideas whats the best way of getting dicounts on our room and AP's.

Is it worth joining DC for discounts??

Luv Audrey XXXXXXXX :bounce: :bounce:

From what I understand, if you join the Disney Club you can get a discount on your AP's, which is enough to recoup the layout on the DC membership!

Also, there will be discounts for on site resorts for DC and AP holders.

Audrey

I just went ahead and ordered our membership into Disney Club and told DBF paul about it after the event - he's just looked through all the literature and remarked well that's gonna save us a lot of money and thats after we recoup!!

Here are some examples:

You get discounts on merchandise in Disney Marketplace

discount at Rainforest Cafe on food

Discount on resorts if booking direct

Discount on passes whether they're Park Hopper, Hopper Pluses or Ultimates or AP's.

I'm not sure if you can still do it, but a couple of years ago I bought my AP's over the phone direct with CRO and they posted me vouchers. To my knowledge, that is the only way to buy AP's with the DC discount in the UK.

My DC virtually pays for itself when we buy our AP's (The only way to to get an AP discount) so everything else is a bonus. Remember - you only need one per household and can get discounts of up to 6 people (if I recall correctly) a day on tickets. The bigger your party, the more it saves!

The discounts at DTD are limited to about 6 of the shops - WoD, Disney at Home, Christmas shop, ummmm...and a couple of the others that are all joined together with the sports shop in and stuff I think and maybe that Pooh shop. Anyhow, it's not all of them...there is a minimum spend of $25 and colletibles like the figurines and the Cels aren't included either. So, it's good, but not perfect and may not be for everyone.

There are however special offers which if you can utilise one of these, then it is really great! For instance, I got a $50 room credit on my cruise, for no other reason than having my DC - no catches. There can also some good discounts on rooms - especially if you don't have an AP, which is really the best way of getting great room rates.

Personally I think DC is worth it....and that's even taking into account that I get many of the same perks being a DVC'er.

Audrey, you can check out Mousesavers for an idea on what discounts can be gotten with your DC.

I've just joined the disney club, mainly because for the discount on the Annual Passes. Hopefully, one or the other will give us a decent rate at the Boardwalk next year. But even if we don't take advantage of that, we will have just about recouped on the passes alone, so anything else will be a bonus.
