Annual Passes - Just spoken to Universal

I have just purchased the annual 2 park power pass (using the lottery code) and enquired about the activation date.

The lady who I spoke to told us that all passes have to be activated and brought by 4th September. So if like us you are not going until after that your passes are still valid but will expire on 4 September 2006.

Hope this information helps anybody who is about to or already has purchased their tickets.

Universal should have made things a bit more clearer on the website.

I was told the pass would expire one year after it was activated. The pass did have to be bought by Sept 4th 2005 though. Several people have posted the same info. Try calling again.

Also told one year after activated even if activated in 06.

I just called again to verify that the passes would be good for one year. This time I was told NO. The passes will expire on Sept 4th 2006, even if you activate them Sept 3rd 2006. Looks like we were given the wrong info last week. I was told I could purchase 6 new passes and then get a credit for the 6 passes that expire on sept 4th 2006. It is all very confusing. I will probably keep these tickets but they are no bargain!

Bev..even the ones with the Lottory code? I thought they had to be activated by a certian time (like the 2 year for 1 deal). My daughter has decided to buy her boyfriend one for his birthday since he will be going with us in Dec, but she isn't going to use this promo. We didn't want it to be activated on 9/4. I went on the AAA south site & they have the 15 monht power pass for $115. We were thinking of her doing that one for him.
