Hi- just check out my disney experience app, checked annual pass for $849.00, and it says buy annual passes at Disneyworld.com. ??? Can't find where to purchase on Disneyworld.com. Anyone?

APs are available only if you currently have one and are renewing.
New passes are not available yet, as far as I've seen.

Or if yours expired (or you cancelled it when that was an option) any point between the parks closing and now, you can call and purchase a new one. Also making exceptions for newly turned 3 year olds who now need a ticket in a family that already had APs.

I was watching TimTracker the other day and Jen said she’s heard of a couple people successfully getting new APs at Disney Springs. Not sure if they had one previously or not but may be worth checking out if you’re in Disney springs anytime soon. Couldn’t hurt to ask.

i am pretty sure they saw people getting renewals or who cancelled their passes and getting them back. I cringed in the videos where they said this because I highly doubt they were new APs. Too many people have been denied for them to be selling them to people like the trackers assumed they were.

I had an AP that I cancelled when we had the option last year in July/August 2020. We are going to Disney next week and I called and asked about reinstating my AP. The castmember got my info and said they would contact me within 30 days because they are reinstating previous (even cancelled) APs. Unfortunately I haven't heard from disney yet, and the trip is next week. I'll likely head to DS and see if someone can help me there.

They’ll be able to help you and you can get your passes on the spot. Bringing your expired/cancelled passes will help speed up the process but not required.

Ditto to Catlover’s comment. I recently got my call back from Disney in just under two weeks. Pretty sure it’s just a matter of verifying that you canceled your pass during the stated period and bingo you are eligible to purchase a new one (no vetting to see how much money you spend IMO cuz I’m a cheapo). I’ve read several comments that renewing at DS is quick and painless.

This is driving me crazy how many people will say "I got a NEW AP" - without that little detail that they had one expired or cancelled during the shutdown. I've been waiting on pins and needles since our First trip back in February. Those APs would have saved us around $5,000 this year - before considering any discounts.

I feel your pain. I took a day trip to Disney springs yesterday since I live about 2 hours away and was denied an AP at the Welcome center and ticket center. The cast member did say that Disney’s current Floridia resident ticket promo was a good sign that Disney may soon be offering APs again soon. *fingers crossed*

A DVC cast member hinted to me that they were coming back soon but that was a few weeks ago and there has been nothing. I have held off on getting tickets for my family for our end of August trip in the hopes that I can get them Annual Passes but soon I am going to have to give in and get the normal passes. I do hope they come back though.

You could try calling back. I called last month and left a callback number, when I hit 30 days and hadn't heard back, I called again. Turns out the person I originally talked to recorded my phone number wrong. They called me back and I was able to reinstate my AP that I had canceled last April.

Great advice! I'll bring my expired pass, thank you!
A magic band will do the trick too. Also, stick to Disney springs GS, we tried international gateway GS because we were staying at boardwalk, and they were not helpful. Disney springs had it done in less than 10 minutes

If you buy regular tickets and they decide to release AP before your trip, you can call and get those tickets upgraded to an AP. Hopefully it works out for you :)

Have a friend who was successful (3rd attempt) in calling and getting a new AP, who didn't have one during pandemic that expired/cancelled. Hers did expire Jan 2020, somewhat close to that time period. I tried for a new AP, was unsuccessful, as expected (my last AP was in 2017).
