To AP or not to AP... That is the question! :teeth:

I am afraid that if I get an annual pass I will feel the NEED to go there more often and DH will divorce me :teeth:
But my inlaws are now residents of Florida so I need to see about them getting passes :)

Had 24 days on my AP from last year. Just got my voucher for my new AP...that one will only have about 12 days on it...well, that I know of right now anyway. So much easier...especially if you get the DVC discount on them!!!

We go about 4 to 5 times a year, each time taking our camper for every trip except one. Each trip is for at least 5 nights and the summer trip is for 8 weeks. Our ap's pay for themselves many times over. I still have a couple of kids that can't swim well so I don't take the kids to the water park. Too many kids to try and keep up with, but when they finish their swimming lessons, we will upgrade to pap's. We have to buy 4 adult passes and 4 childrens passes so it is our biggest expense every year.

We have the Florida Resident Annual Pass. Not the seasonal Florida Resident Pass.

No blackout dates for us.

PAP here... with DVC it became very affordable and the best deal out there for me!

My DH and I have the PAP and I am praying that he lets us renew them at Christmas!!

We have AP's and use them at least twice a year. We spend 3-4 weeks down there and would spend more if we could. We are also DVC members.

I voted - FL residents annual pass but I actually have a FL residents seasonal pass (it has black out dates which the annual pass doesn't).

We're on our second AP. Last year we fit in 3 trips. We are taking our 2nd one this year....TOMMOROW!!! :cool1:

Ours currently expire in June 2006, I'm not sure if we'll renew again or not. We were unable to use our AP to get a great rate for this trip (BRP came out after the 90 day window, and when they changed it to sooner, our trip was to close) That was not the only reason we had the AP's but it sure is a draw to fit in that 1 more trip.

This is our first year with AP's. Love the freedom.

We had AP's last year and fit in an extra 2 week trip because we had them plus the original 8 day trip that year.

Next trip, we'll get them again--particularly since they encourage DH to say, "Hey, let's go again since we have the AP's!"

I think they're a great idea, but I know for us impractical. We may get to WDW once every 3 to 5 years, but if I knew there was a chance to get there more than once in 12 months, I'd go for it!

My-Know-it-all BIL and SIL SHOULD get an AP, since their son lives in the Orlando area now, and they visit there several times a year. I mentioned it once, and was informed that AP's are ONLY for Florida residents, no one else. :confused3 Can't tell some people anything. :rotfl:

I voted other. We haven't had Disney passes yet, but plan to get FL Resident Seasonal Passes when our Busch Gardens passes expire. It won't be before my next trip though (taking a solo trip to meet some fellow DISers, most likely will not do any parks).

Break Even

It's a bit involved but even if you don't go every year, AP's can still save you money IF you stay long enough. And I'm speaking from experience, you do tend to go more when your AP is active.

On our second set of AP's. We let the first set expire, took almost two years off from going to Disney, then sprung for the second set.

I don't think we will renew when the current set expires. Not much chance of scheduling another trip either. Too much responsibility helping our New Orleans friends and relatives get their houses cleaned up or get relocated. I just can't see us splurging on a trip when so many close relatives are in this position.

My dear mother-in-law house sat for us during our last trip just back in July.
We owe her alot. Now if we could talk her into going with us that would be a different story.

I've had one in the past. It expired in 12/2004. I've made one trip since it expired and I plan to purchase a new one when I visit in 12/05. Having a usable annual pass peeking out at me from my wallet makes me very happy! Maybe too happy but we won't go there.

FL Resident Annual Passes, the Food and Wine Festival is worth it alone. Any other chance to go is icing. :)
