Annual pass???

This is our first time to purchase an annual pass and I had a few questions. Where can we activate our passes? Does each member of the family need to be there to activate them or can I do it for them? What is required to activate (drivers license, birth certificate, etc)?

You can activate your passes only at the 4 major theme parks or Downtown Disney and I know you need a license and need to be the one getting yours. As for the kids who don't have licenses, I beleive a birth certificate will do fine.

I never had to show the kids birth certificate..
I did have to show my drivers license. When we lost the one AP I called down to the ticket office, and they had all the AP"s under my name then the kids names next to it - that was their system.

Just go to guest relations outside one of the four parks. All adults must show their drivers licenses, but the kids don't need to show anything. Have fun.

what about UK residents? I have a UK driving licence that I will be taking with me DH does not drive so he doesn't have one, and what about my 12 year old (who is very, very tall for is age) and he will have an adult pass, do we show our passports instead? We are hoping to save quite a bit of money by getting AP's (to cover 2 holidays - vacations) rather than two lots of the UK 10 day passes

I just got back from getting my AP's. I went to the booth outside EPCOT that said voucher exchanges and did it there. I was able to get mine and my DW and DD's without them being there. They just took my license and away I went with all AP's in hand. Can't say that this will happen all the time, but they did let me get all AP's without the other adults there. Could have been that I know all of DW's info and the addresses were the same. Probably would not have let me if one of the adults were living in a different place.

Your passports will be fine. Any governement issued photo ID works. In the US we tend to think Drivers License for everything that requires a photo ID.

Don't forget you can also get activated passes at the Disney Store in the airport. I would think that you could activate your passes there also based on that...

No, actually, you cannot activate them there. This can only be done at one of the major parks at guest services or at DD at guest services.

Any government issued photo id will suffice.

Gail, thanks for clarifying that for me. We've purchased them there before but not activated them there, so didn't know 100%.

I was there on a Friday night waiting for my familys delayed flight. I think it closed at around 9:00 PM. I could be wrong.
