Annual Pass ?

I'll be getting my 1st Annual Pass later this month and I couldn't be more excited. I have a reference number since I spoke with Guest Relations during our last trip a month ago and we're applying the tickets I purchased then towards upgrading to an AP. My questions for the board is this....

1. Can I get my AP using my reference number at the Contemporary Resort? My wife and I have dinner reservations at the California Grill the day before we go back to the parks and I wanted to take care of everything that day if possible. Since I have a reference number and my situation is a little more complicated than most (see question #2), I wasn't sure if they would be able to effectively do everything then and there. If needed, we could go somewhere else on property, but I'd rather not if they're capable of handling it there.

2. I'm getting a Florida resident AP. I don't live in FL; however I own a vacation home in Orlando. Guest Services said as long as I can provide proof of ownership to them, that would work. My home and bills for that home are in my LLC name, not my personal name. If I bring the LLC legal documents showing I'm the sole owner of that LLC, would that still work? I've called Guest Services and they said yes, but I just wanted to make sure with anyone who may have experienced this since you have to do all this in person and I wanted to make sure I had EVERYTHING I might need with me to avoid not being able to get this done during this trip since my reference number expires on this trip.

Thanks!!!!!

#1) We did a similar upgrade last year with our tickets and the only place they could help us was Guest Services. We went to the one in Disney Springs...but you may also be able to go to the Ticket and Transportation Center.

#2) Unfortunately, I can't give you any advice on this other than to take down the Cast Member's name you spoke to and have it ready if it becomes an issue. It sounds like you're going to be fine though!

Congrats, Annual Passes are a blast!

I think you will be fine with the documentation for the FL AP. When we lived in Tampa for a year we got FL APs right after we arrived. We didn't have FL driver's licenses yet and only had the rental agreement for the condo we were renting, renter's insurance documentation, and a print out from a utility company showing that it was in our name at the condo's address. The CM looked at everything quickly with no problems.

1. No. You can only get it at Guest Relations. The closest to CR is at MK. Just walk over and take care of it the first day. Make sure your wife is with you. Each person with an AP must be present.

2. Shouldn't be an issue.

Would I have to enter the park to do that or is there a Guest Relations area outside the park (maybe TTC as PP mentioned)? I wasn't entering the park that day, but I could go to Disney Springs if that's the only GR outside the park.

There are guest relations locations both inside and outside the theme parks, including the TTC. You can also do the upgrade at any park ticket window.

There is a Guest Relations at the front gate of MK, to the right.

Perfect! Sounds like we've got an excuse to ride the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom front gate. :mickeyjum

Any Guest Relations booth or Ticket Counter can handle the transaction. We usually just stop at a ticket window on our way into a park when it is time to renew. DW and I are snowbirds and take one bill each, county water bill for me, cable bill from DW, to get our FL Passes. Can't help with the LLC question but I suspect you will be fine with the legal document you mentioned. At worst you might have to get a supervisor in case the Cast Member at the booth is not able to make the call themselves.

Welcome the FL AP family!

Looks like I lucked up. Had my management company forward me copies of my most recent utilities bills and two of them were in my personal name since they do not allow LLC names on those bills. I'll have my LLC paperwork on me just in case, but it looks like this might be easier than I suspected. Thanks for all the feedback. It never ceases to amaze me the great community of these boards. So much helpful discussion about ANY Disney related topic!
