I know this question has been asked countless times but still I have to ask. Is the annual pass worth the cost? I'm thinking of going back again this year and my Mom wants to go with me next year. Any advice and comments are always appreciated.

Generally, I've heard that 14 days in the same year (not calendar year, but 365 days) is the break even point for the AP. And then you get the discounts on things like tours, the Tables in Wonderland card, and even maybe a room.

Dh and I really think an AP is worth the money. With the number of times we go and the discounts, it definitely works out to a great deal. We won't get the Tables in Wonderland card this time as it has gone up to $75 and we have the QS dining for June and Free dining in Sept. Last yeat, the TIW card was also a great savings. I think you break even after 10 days, because that is the longest length you can buy MYW tickets for.

Our AP expired in December but we are going to upgrade our 4/3 tickets to an AP again. It saves alot because to me tickets are the biggest expense. If we want to book a trip one week in advance with an AP rate, we can take a quick trip really cheap, since we already have tickets.

The savings at WoD and room discounts make it worthwhile in itself. Also, we ahve used it for tour discounts and will use it for recreation discounts in June. Also you can use it at some restaurants for discounts without having to buy the TIW card.

Since you live in Georiga, you can get an AP at a discount at AAA if you are a member. It is a small discount, but worth it.

i agree that 10 days is the break even point, we are going in september and our annuals expire tomorrow,so we may upgrade our passes to annuals so we have a better reason to take a quick trip or 2 in the next year

We live 16 hours away from the parks but we love the convenience of the APs.

You can usually get a good rate on the rooms with an AP you just have to be diligent about watching for it. You have parking around the resort, you get discounts at some shopping and eating places. Best of all it is a great excuse to pick up and go when nothing else is going on after all,the tickets are already paid for. We try and sneak in at least two long vacations, one when we buy the passes and one right before they expire!!!
