We are staying a week in July and thinking about purchasing annual passes instead of park hopper tickets...can they be purchased online with the DVC discount? TIA :)

On the member's site you can order vouchers for pick up at WDW, or they can mail them to you for a fee. You will need your blue member card and a photo ID for every adult getting an AP that shows the same address as the owner. Other must be family members to get the discount. The 1 year doesn't start until you conver the voucher into a pass at WDW.

You can also call MS and do it over the phone. We just purchased our AP's yesterday morning for our trip on Monday. They gave us a will call number since it is too close to send the voucher obviously. We just have to go to Guest Services with the number, ID and my member card.

We have decided to start going direct to the source for Disney products and services. When you order tickets over the phone through MS, they call WDW Ticketing and place your order for you. Our last order was missed up and we had to go direct to WDW Ticketing to get it corrected. From now on we will do everything in writing, online or direct.

WE just went right up the the ticket window at the park our first morning. It only took about 5 minutes. Quick and easy.

Well, doesn't that make me nervous.;)

We have ordered MNSSHP and MVMCP through MS and never had a problem doing will call. Hopefully, we won't have any issues on Monday.:faint:

Our last issue was a week ago when my DD ordered her MVMCP ticket last week from MS. She was told that it would be mailed. I explained to DD that they don't mail DVC discounted day tickets, that they are will called. She got worried so I called MS and they confirmed my understanding. The MS advisor put me on hold for 15 minutes then told me that she would have to call me back.

A hour latter she called back and reconfirmed my understanding of their policy. She said that that they don't mail DVC discounted MMVCP tickets, that they are will called. She then added that the ticket should arrive in the mail in about a week??? I said, so somebody made a mistake? She replied that it wasn't their policy to admit mistakes. ;)

We always order online through the DVC Member site and have never had a problem. You print your voucher online and take it with you. (I actually print 2 vouchers just as a back up in case I misplace one). I also do my renewals online, but they have to be done on the AP website. Once you log in it recognizes your pass as a DVC member and applies the discount. We only do online ticket purchases. We do it in advance so that the funds are spaced out......

I used to work in ticketing. Get the tickets at the park is just the same. You still have to wait in line for will call or the vouchers they mail as some one needs to check your DVC card. So no time is saved. Actully more time is wasted as you had to do all the calling/online ordering on top of going to the counter and wait on the line.

I agree with this, except, if you get the voucher now, you pay today's price. If you wait and your luck is as good as mine, you WILL PAY MORE!!

Just an FYI - you can't buy APs with the DVC discount from ticketing on the phone. To buy by phone you must call member services. You can buy them online through the link on the DVC site which takes you to the disney ticketing site

Or, I can just walk over to DTD and stop at the World of Disney store there and buy them, right?????

I agree-I've had your kind of luck too! :worried: I buy our vouchers one by one over time from home so I don't have to take a 2K hit all at once when I step up to the counter there at Disney.

so an annual pass is good from the moment you use it until a year later?
How much are they?

I am so green.. :lmao:

Yes, AP's are good for one year from the time of first use.

And just in case anyone needed more information -- there's also a Guest Services kiosk in West Side, near the entrance to PI. I have purchsed DVC APs there using my one day tickets from past "free dining" visits to lower the price a bit.

Actually you can. I was purchasing tickets for the MMCP, and he said he could process my DVC passes as well.

I have a question about APs too. I want to purchase my AP "voucher" before the anticipated price increase in August, but since my trip is not until May 2009, I am worried that I might lose the voucher. Is there any way to replace it if lost?
