Hi! I'm visiting WDW next year with a friend. We're planning on staying for two weeks, and I've read that annual passes can be a good investment if you're going for more than 10 days. My main question is, can my friend also use my annual pass (since we're sharing a hotel room, and we'll be eating together a lot, etc)?

This will be a first trip to Disney World for both of us, so we want to make sure we're doing it right! If there's anything else I should know about annual passes, please let me know :) Thank you in advance!

You have to each have your own annual pass to enter. You may use your discount on room and food, if available as long as you are there. My biggest suggestion is to read, read and then read these forums some more. People here are very knowledgeable and can really help you once you have more specific questions.

They can use your discount for their purchases as long as you are with them I believe but as an actual ticket no

Only one of you needs to have an annual pass in order to get free parking and discounts on room (where and when available), merchandise, special events, food, etc. Of course, the AP holder will need to be present to show the pass to get these benefits. My experience is that the AP holder does not necessarily need to be the one to pay; I have shown my AP for the discount and then had another family member use their credit card to pay for the meal/item. Of course you will both need park tickets, so if only one of you has an AP, the other will need to have their own admission tickets in order to enter the parks. Hope that helps.

What you are proposing is Disney World allowing 2 for 1 on a ticket. That doesn't happen.

You can't share a pass for park entry, but you can get discounts on rooms and restaurants that your friend can share, as long as the friend is with you in the room or restaurant.

Welcome!

A 10 day ticket (park hopper) is $529 without tax.

An annual pass is $849 without tax.

No. One annual pass is good for one person - not for two people - even if you are sharing a hotel and eating together a lot.

Each person needs their own ticket. You can't share your pass with someone else. However, as a passholder, you are entitled to discounts on food and merchandise purchases and room discounts. You can 'share' that benefit with your friend IF you pay for the items and use your passholder discount.

But your friend needs her own ticket to enter the park.
