I read somewhere that DVC memebers can get a discount for an AP. How much of a discount do you get and also can you get a discount on a Seasonal pass as well?
:confused3

I got $100 discount on an AP. I think you get a little more with a PAP. I do not know about a seasonal pass.

We bought ours in June 05. 2-premium AP's $830.

I see that you list Florida as your home. If so, I believe the Florida resident annual pass pricing is better than the AP with DVC discount. I'm not sure what a Florida seasonal pass is, but in general Florida residents get such hefty discounts already that they can't get an additional discount for DVC ownership.

Don't know if it is correct or not but "All Ears Net" shows FL Resident AP discount and DVC member discount price to be $324.83 and FL Resident PAP and DVC member discount price at $430.26. I think that beats the DVC only price by $10 or so bucks. (Small discount for putting up with hurricanes maybe). Hope she's right as we are waiting for our resale purchase to "get in the system" and, as FL Residents, we plan to buy AP's. :moped:

By the way, that is a great site for all things Disney!!

The AP discount if one one of the best discounts we get at DVC.

According to the member website, FL residents get $10 off on new AP's and $15 off new PAP's (discount off the FL resident price). No discount on seasonal passes.

We bought ours last year and it was cheaper to buy PAP's via DVA than FLR.

I think it is the best. IMHO that is

The regular AP price is $425 plus tax ($452.63 total)

The DVC discount is $100 making an AP $315 plus tax ($335.48 total)

The Florida Resident discount is $90, making an AP $325 plus tax ($346.13 total)

The DVC discount is $10 better than a regular Florida Resident discount so DVC members in general get a better deal than regular non-DVC Florida residents.

Additionally, my understanding is that Florida residents do get another $10 off the DVC discount, making their total discount $110, for a ticket price of $305 plus tax ($324.83 total)

There is no DVC discount for Florida Resident seasonal passes.

Hope this helps.
