Annual Pass upgrading

I currently have Southern California Select, but will probably need to upgrade to Deluxe or Signature. If I upgrade, I keep the same expiration date. I am wondering if I could turn in my current card and start over from scratch with a new expiration date.

If you want to "start over" don't renew/upgrade. Just get a new one.

Wait until after your current pass expires. Then get a new one.

CMs told us to wait at least 24 hours after the current pass expires. We've done that and received a new expiration date.

Along the lines of upgrading, does anyone know if you upgrade to a higher pass before your AP expires will you still get the renewal discount?

Nope. If you upgrade an AP to a higher level you pay the full difference between what you paid (including renewal discount) and the current gate price of that AP.
