2. The value applied in an upgrade from a discounted ticket depends on the date when the discounted ticket was first minted (created.)

"Price bridging" for Upgrading Tickets has changed in some cases.
Tickets purchased from stock issued before the most recent
price increase of Feb. 11, 2018 (this is not necessarily related to the date that you purchased your tickets) will be bridged only to the price that Disney sold these tickets to the public at the time.
That means:
