Annual pass & TIW question

I have a green card voucher for a WDW annual pass. My trip is in two weeks. Can I turn in the voucher for the annual pass at my resort (Contemporary) or do I need to go to guest services in one of the parks?

Also, I want to buy a Tables in Wonderland card - can I do that at the resort, or does it have be at guest services in the park?

Thanks for any help!

I know for sure that TIW has to be purchased at guest services at a park or at DTD. If you are going to get TIW, you may as well do both transactions at the same time at a park. It is a painless process to do both at the same time. I would check in to CR then go over to the MK or TTC and take care of them both.

I just did the same thing in August and you must go to one of the parks to do the Annual Pass and TIW. I stayed at the WL and just hopped the boat to the Magic Kingdom on my first day. No lines, it was painless.;)

just did this last Thurs at AK - changed over the AP and bought TIW there since it was the first park we hit. And TIW paid for itself already in the amount of $$ saved.

I agree with the others: since TiW must be purchased at guest services either at DTD or in one of the parks, you might as well get both at the same time. Just one thing I learned the hard way in the last few months: be sure to check the expiration dates on both as soon as you get them. This past Sept I bought the TiW at guest services in DTD and didn't notice until I really looked at it that night, that they had it expiring a month later instead of 13 months later (Oct 31, 2011 instead of Oct 31, 2012). I had to go to guest services at MK the next morning to get a corrected one. Then lo and behold almost the same thing happened last week when I got a new AP. I used an old one day ticket to get into AK the first day and then went straight to guest services to upgrade it to an AP. Due to low crowds I didn't need the AP to get fast passes or anything, so didn't try to to use it until the next day at Epcot. When it wouldn't work, the turnstyle CM looked at it and informed me it had expired the day before. When I told him I had just bought it the day before, he told me the CMs often put the wrong year in and I had to go to the ticket booth or guest services to get it corrected. I went to the ticket booth and they were able to look up the transaction from the day before and issued me another AP with the correct expiration date on it.

The same thing happened when I got my kids' APs. The CM put in 2011 instead of 2012 for the expiration date. Luckily, I checked before walking away from the booth and I caught it.
