I am trying to get Annual Passes to Disney World.
Not a Florida resident.(5 hour drive time)

I need to know if I can do this ?

Buy 2 "3 day tickets" online" with CC(pay off before trip)

Go to Disney (on off site hotel shuttle first day) Upgrade 1 Ticket to Annual pass
Have 2 days in-park.(have Universal passes so can do a day or two there also)

Go back a couple months later get a 2nd Annual pass
(so renewals are not same month)

I can't afford both passes in the same month.(or renewal in same month)

Are there Discounts for renewal of Annual Passes ?

Can I use the non expire option on tickets and save 1 day so that second ticket will still be able to be upgraded a few months later?

Can I get the cheaper annual pass (4 Park) and upgrade it later to add water parks ?

Seems like it would be alot simpler and cheaper (no gas money, no purchase of an extra admission ticket) to simply skip the 1st trip, go on the 2nd and save the purchase price (and money) in your bank for 1 month and pay for both APs at once. Surely you have enough self-discipline to not touch that earmarked money for one month? Of course if the 1st trip isn't optional, like you're meeting friends or something, I suppose that's different. But personally, I just wouldn't go in month 1, save the money until month 2 and then pay for the 2 APs. Repeat the process when renewal time rolls around -set aside the $ for AP1 renewal a month before it's due and then when I have enough for AP2 a month later - just renew them both.

I don't think the "Can I use the non expire option on tickets and save 1 day so that second ticket will still be able to be upgraded a few months later?" will work. Although the day won't expire, I think any upgrades have to be done within something like 10 or 14 days of 1st use. I could be wrong though.

You are correct. Upgrades have to be down within 14 days.

Why would you want to buy a second annual pass for yourself a few months after the first, and then have two active AP's overlapping in their life spans?

That seems like a waste of money.

Yes you can add water park fun to an AP (convert the 4 park AP to premium) at any time during the AP's life span. The cost to do this upgrade is the difference between regular AP and PAP at the time you do it.

I assume it two people (e.g. husband and wife). Not one person getting two passes.

If you upgrade your annual pass to add the water park, the price difference will NOT be prorated (i.e. if you have a month left on your pass you will pay the full price difference). Keep in mind you can also purchase a water park annual pass separately. I did this for my kids - they were under 9 years old at the time and the water park pass was cheaper. Both can be added to your magic band.

You can't do what you're suggesting for a couple of reasons. First, tickets must be upgraded within 14 days of first use. Additionally, the AP renewal date would be based on the date of first use of the ticket, NOT the date you upgraded to the AP. Since you first used both tickets on the same day, they would come up for renewal on the same day - 12 months from the date of your first trip.

Ok i was just trying to space out renewal,First trip is in November (4TH) is the day the wife is 5 years cancer free (uterine) .So "we are going to Disney World"
I have 2 AP money saved now ,If I buy now the year won't start until first use (even if first use is 6 months away) My Universal pass expires in April wife's expires in December (with the added 3 months added promotion)
