Fair warning- I'm a total newb to these boards, so if I've posted to the wrong place- please move me with my sincerest apologies.

Wilderness Lodge- Room Only Discount
9.17-9.26
2 Adults Park Hopper Passes for 8 days (have not purchased yet)
Question:
From what I've seen in previous years discount offerings it looks like Annual Passholders can get a slightly better rate on room only discounts around the same time I'll be there. Because of the duration of our stay, it's not worth it to buy a Annual Pass outright, but it's absolutely worth it if there is an additional Annual Passholder discount on our room. Since I'm not already a Passholder, how do I keep track if this discount has been announced yet? Do rooms tend to sell out at these discounts? And lastly, if I buy a Pass, when does it become active/expire?
