Annual Pass Renewal Question

Posted this in a different thread but not sure where to post this question. I just renewed my annual pass a couple weeks ago online. When I renewed them they emailed me printable vouchers.My question is do I have to go to customer relations to renew. I talked with couple different disney reps over the phone and they said my last year annual pass rfid card and my magic band will work to get in the park and I would not have to go to customer service.Also when I log into my disney experience I can make fastpass selections and it shows our annual passes.

I'd stop by and get a new "hard ticket" AP.

You need some type of card for free parking and merch/dinner discounts - when you get your passholder MBs they will come with cards you can use for parking/discounts - until then you may want to stop at guest services and get the cards.

They sent my a black card for discounts when they sent the magic bands previously.

Also...

All guests 18 years and older would be wise to carry a legal photo ID at WDW.

If anything goes wrong with your ticket media (or if it gets lost) you can have it restored at a Guest Relations if you have an ID.

As a further FYI we found the discount card to mean nothing yo the CMs last month. Ever time I whipped that out for a discount they wanted to see my actual AP instead. So now I carry around the AP, discount card, MB, and ID.

Does anyone know if you renew it online or over the phone, will it automatically activate the pass? I was going to start a thread asking this b/c I've done FP+s for my roommate & I for the 1st part of our trip up until the date his AP expires. He was going to wait until our trip to renew it but not if it'll be easier to do it early so I can schedule the rest of our FP+s together in advance.

I renewed online and my band/card just continued to work I didn't even have to re do the Florida resident stuff
