Annual Pass Renewal Discount?

For the Disney World AP (for Florida residents), if I understand correctly when you renew they give you a little discount (from https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/passholders/standard-discount/). Do you get the same discount whether you do Pay in Full or use Monthly Payment? I am asking because I know Universal gives a discount on renewals if you pay in full; however, they do not give the discount if you pay via FlexPay.
