We are going to purchase APs online - if I understand right, I'll print out a voucher that needs to be exchanged for the actual APs. Does this have to be done at the park? We will be staying at RPR - can it be done there? I would really like to avoid waiting in the ticket line at the park. :worried:

Also, I am looking at the blackout dates for 2014 - if we are FL residents and purchase power passes, should I be looking at just the PP blackout dates (not the FL resident dates, right? Those are for single/multi-day tickets?)

And on a side note...I know we have to swipe our room cards to get the Express Passes with our pictures on them - is that done at the resort?

Thanks!

You will have to exchange the voucher for the AP at the park. I assume you're getting the FL resident passes so you will need to present proof of residency at that time. Everyone who has a pass had to do it the first time but it's smooth sailing from there.

The EPs you can do at the hotel since you have to take a picture for the unlimited EP.

So...you will need to get the EPs at the hotel but the APs at the park.

Thank you! That's what I figured, but thought I'd ask anyway. :)

I just edited my original post to add another question. The blackout dates have "Power Pass" dates and "FL Resident" dates - if we buy PPs, its just those dates that apply, right? So basically summer is blocked JUST for Studios??

Thanks again!!

Yes...whichever dates are blacked out on the website are the ones for the Power Pass. It's usually when a new attraction opens to keep the crowds down a bit. They did it a few years ago at IOA for WWoHP so it's nothing new.
