annual pass questions

hi everyone. i have been searching the forums but cant quite get all the info on annual passes.
1.how much are annual passes?
2.where and how do i get them?
3. i read in some posts here that you have to be sponsored or fill in a sponsoring form?... does that mean someone has to reccommend us or something?
4. i also read that annual passes for under 7 year olds is free! is that still true?
we are planning to go in feb 2 adults 2 children (7yr and 6yr).

Have a look in the stickies for info on the annual passes, there is a link I think.
To be sponsored you would need to post on the sponsorship thread, but if you want to get the free child passes you can't combine that with sponsorship. I'm afraid I'm not up to date and I don't know if the free passes are still running - hopefully someone can help you with that....

Im not sure when the offer for free annual passes for under 7s runs out but I think it may still be on. You would need to pay for the one for the 7 yr old though

You dont have to be sponsored but it gives you a discount (15% off I think)

You could buy one for one adult with free one for 6 yr old then get sponsored for other 2

You buy them at the park and there are 3 types. You can have different types but the free one will be same as the adult one

As has been said, if you can get a childs free Annual Pass of the same type when buying an adult one, that can't be combined with being sponsored. If you're sponsored, you can get 10% discount on each annual pass you are sponsored for.

So, to get the best deal for your family, you'd want one adult annual pass with one free for your 6-year old, and then in a separate transaction, 2 annual passes for the other adult and the 7-year old, both sponsored for 10% off the price of each annual pass.

The easiest way to actually get the annual passes is at the DLRP parks themselves. You can pay for the annual passes as you enter the parks, then the same day you go to the Annual Pass office inside the main park, and get your permanent photo-ID passes. If you're applying for the childs free annual pass, take your 6-year olds passport or birth certificate with you, as they will usually ask for proof of age of the child for the free pass.

Ask a daft question - are you saying that if 3 of you want annual passports, you go to the bureau de passport and buy 1, then immediately get 2 more sponsored via the first one. If so, wouldn't they just offer a discount there and then?

No you can't sponsor in your first month so you wouldn't be able to sponsor the others in your party.
