Annual Pass Questions re: Discounts

We are a party of 10 arriving into Disney on 12/17. We will be dining together every evening and only myself, my husband and my son have APs. When we pay for our meal will all 10 of us be able to utilize the 20% off (based on restaurants that feature this deal such as Biergarten)? Can we pay with one cc and have the entire bill discounted or will Disney only apply discount to those showing their AP, therefore splitting the bill? Thanks!

Passholder and up to 3 guests can receive the AP discount if that passholder is paying. So you'd have to split the groups up so the 3 of you are each paying to cover all 10 people, unless you talk to them and they allow more than 4 for 1 AP discount.

Also double check ahead of time (if you haven't already) the discounts and time frames on restaurants. Some restaurants only allow the discount during off peak hours

If the AP won't work for you, you should also look into the tables in wonderland card (TiW). It's 20% off, includes alcohol (the only disney discount that does alcohol) and you can get up to 9 guests + the card holder discounted. I know the card holder doesn't have to be the one paying the bill but I'm not sure if dividing up the check for multiple payers would be allowed (never tried). The tiw card holder does not need to be the one paying for the discount but the card holder, tiw card and their id need to be present to get the discount. There is some places that it has a discount that AP doesn't and vice versa so check the list. Also note the blockout dates when you can't use it to make sure it'll work. With a party of 10, it'll be very fast to get the cost of the card back and save some money.

There is also a little known option that they will issue a "spouse" card for $50 more giving you 2 tiw cards to give you some splitting up options where maybe your significant other might be able to utilize the card without you. You can actually get the 2 card holders + 18 guests if both cards and card holders are present on the discount.

We had a similar issue recently. All four of us in my family have APs, but we were dining with two other families, that don't have APs. We just split the ordering so that one AP holder ordered In each group (if that makes sense). Then, when the bills came, we paid for all of them on the same credit card. Once we'd done that, we added all the bills together and split it by the number of people in the party, and they paid us back accordingly. Sounds a bit complicated, but it really wasn't. The server was happy to do it as well Hope that made sense!
