Annual Pass Question

Are they good one year from date of purchase or date of activation? I know there was some discussion about this before, but I can't find the link.

If you buy a voucher, it's one year from activation for new passes. You get a voucher if you buy from the disney store, disney.com or over the phone. If you buy a pass at a park window with intentions to activate it at a later date, be sure to get a voucher, not an actual pass.
