i am trying to figure out what to do for an 8 day trip in june. Annual pass seems the best bang for my buck vs orlando flex ticket. I was going to get the middle tier ticket but now i am thinking premier pass. It is only about $150 more and i could get food discounts and express pass after 4pm. What are your thoughts? What tpe of ticketing do you purchase and why? No plans of going back within the year and i am staying at cabana beach. My daughter is not interested in the higher priced hotels with express pass. Is the extra $150 worth food discounts and express pass? I had considered express pass for at least a day or 2 anyway and we will eat all food either at the park or hotel. The middle tier ticket does not discount food at the hotel or even the park like premier does. What would you do?

Also, is there an advantage to purchasing passes online before your trip vs waiting at the gate? I cannot find discounts or perks. I do not think it would save time because you would still need to get your cards at the gate, right?

UO preferred AP allows 10% discounts in the park , hotels, and city walk for food and merch

The premier gives discounts on food at the parks and at city walk. You also get preferred parking and HHN ticket that you likely won't take advantage of for the more expensive ticket. The only bonus is the express after 4pm and since you are going for so many days you'll likely be able to see everything multiple times without needing it. Up to you....Express is awesome but not sure it's absolutely necessary in your situation.

Undercover Tourist sells a 3 park Unlimited ticket that would work for you. It allows for admission to each of the parks for every day of the ticket - 14 Consecutive Days (Park-to-Park access allowed)

The middle tier ticket does not discount food at the hotel or even the park like premier does.

it does get you 10% off food.

the Premier AP will get you an additional 5%

Do the maths. You'd need to spend $3000 on food alone to break even on the $150 price difference between APs

Express after 4pm is arguably a good perk, but crowds get lighter as it gets closer to closing time, and if you have a good amounts of days to visit, I don't know if you'll use much of that perk.

If that were for me, I'd probably stick to the preferred AP

I'd get the preferred. However, if you find crowds are terrible and you want the express pass perk, then you can upgrade the pass. It would not be worth it for an extra 5% off food.
